You don’t start the process until the waiter brings the cheque, until the plane is pulling up to the airport terminal. Let me use an every day example, I am talking to Bill on the phone and Bill and I have been friends for years, we’ve been having this nice conversation, just about ready to hang the phone up and I say to Bill as its kind of like an after thought, I say Bill, "by the way have you ever thought about what it would be like if you could own your life?" (Now wait silence is powerful) people tend to get all nervous: oh what will he say when you ask that question. So then you continue on and I would simply say: Bill what I think it means to own your life is by the time you subtract out the sleeping time, commuting time, working time, things that you have to do each and every day of your life, most people don’t have but a few hours a day of their life to do what they would like to and then would they have the money to do it. We have discovered a way, a person can learn how to own their life by building a home based business and we have a system for doing it that is so simple anybody can do it, doesn’t require any selling and the best part, it won’t take much of your time. What I just said there, normal speech pattern, takes just 45 seconds. That’s why we call it The 45 Seconds. Some of you are sitting there thinking, because I told you I was going to teach you how to do it without knowing anything, I’ve got to know the 45 seconds presentation. Well if you had to know it, it’s certainly better than the two-three hours presentation you are going to do at someone’s home. But you don’t have to know it because you can have it printed on the back of your business card. We have it printed on the promo card and you can get your name information printed here. So I am on the phone with Bill and I look down and it’s in the front of the book. Right in the front page and you’re welcome to take it out of the book, type it in a script format and have it by your phone

Two possibilities are here. Bill could say: Don I am just not interested. I want to keep my boring dead-end job for the next 30 years and take what they give me. Isn’t that exciting to know that in 45 seconds not after two-three hours presentation? A lot of this has to do with burn out because you do too many of these two/three hours presentations and you get burned out and also you start pre-judging people, you say: I can just tell by looking at this person they wouldn’t probably do anything, I am not even going to bring it up to him because if I bring it up to him I am going to have to go to their home for two/three hours, or I will have to pick him up, bring him to an opportunity meeting or heck I’ll just invite them and hope they show up. So you start pre-judging people and that is hazardous to the growth of your business because you can’t tell and I can’t tell by just looking at someone what they can do in your business. You don’t know. So when you know you only have very limited amount of time invested in this person then you are more likely to talk to more people about your business.
